The more he was surrounded by humanity at its worst, the more he managed to turn things around—still holding onto his blind faith in people despite his own flaws and moments of weakness.

Summary
The Frontman isn't surprised by Gi-hun's trauma. He knows firsthand what that island can do, how it breaks someone's spirit. He can only imagine how much worse it feels being back a second time. Nevertheless, the erratic, skittish behavior that Gi-hun starts to display during the games intrigues him. Worries him, even.
It doesn't take him long to realize that Gi-hun has not one, but two familiar faces among the other players. An old friend, but also an ex, abusive boyfriend.
As Young-il allows In-ho to experience the games and be close to the object of his fascination, he gets to watch Gi-hun unravel before his eyes, initiating a new, exciting, and equally lethal game between the Frontman and the player who wants to destroy him.- Language:

"Has it perhaps been too long since you participated in the games, that now you forget how it felt to be a contestant? Is that what's hindering your recognition of why they're necessary?”
Unsure of how to respond, In-ho returned the ramble with a small nod. “Maybe.”
For the first time that day, he witnessed a smile spread across Il-nam’s face, “Then why not play in them once more?”
or, In-ho competes in the 33rd annual Squid Game to prove his loyalty to Il-nam. In them he meets Seong Gi-hun, who complicates things. Greatly.

Junho had also eaten like an industrial vacuum for a few years when he’d been younger. Boys Seong Gihun’s age had crazy metabolisms and were always hungry. He put some lettuce into the kid’s bowl.
“Fiber,” Inho muttered, “it’s good for you.”
“Ajusshi,” Seong Gihun chased down the food in his mouth with half a bottle of cherry soda and let out a thunderous belch that had heads turning from the surrounding tables. “Even though you look short and scary, you’re actually really nice.”
