Summary
While negotiations are going on with another kingdom, their prince seems to take a special interest in Cassandra and her admirable dedication to sword fighting. Of course, this is fine. Rapunzel is perfectly fine with this. Why wouldn’t she be? It makes sense that Cass would come up with excuses for the marks on her neck, as well. It wouldn’t be good for another kingdom to know the princess of Corona was a vampire. So why does her stomach clench at the thought? What's with the heavy gloom lurking in the back of her mind?
(Why does something swirl in the pit of her stomach, green-eyed and ready to pounce?)
Her resolve to ignore it doesn’t go exactly as planned when she’s three glasses of wine in at a ball. Not when Cass calls them sparring bruises. Again.

Summary
A Legend of Korra Canon-Divergent fic, set after the events of season 3.
Two years after Avatar Korra nearly dies at the hands of Zaheer, she leaves the Southern Water Tribe and seeks safety and healing in Zaofu, the safest city in the world. Suyin is busy bearing the mantle of interim Earth Kingdom leader, so her captain, Kuvira, steps in as Korra's personal guard and trainer to help her along the path of healing. A connection between them grows, but Korra's demons prove to be an obstacle she isn't sure she can overcome.

Summary
Mizi learned from a young age to temper herself. To hide the predator that lurked beneath her skin. She did this for the sake of retaining the cuteness that Shine adored her for, never quite outgrowing the baseless fear that her mother would take her back to the orphanage.
And she did it for the sake of never hurting Sua too.
She would only succeed at one of these things, in the end.

Summary
Sua isn’t naive.
She knows how Mizi looks at her. Not the affectionate look she’s adorned since they met, but the look that slides over Mizi’s face when she thinks Sua isn’t paying attention. It’s similar to the way those Segyeins—the ones that Mother parades her in front of—look at her. Like they want to devour her. But unlike those times, it isn’t fear that causes Sua’s skin to prickle with goosebumps. And it isn’t fear that makes her bite her lip.
It isn’t fear, but it’s close enough.
Except this feeling sometimes feels more dangerous than fear.
