Summary
When Hua Cheng vanishes, he doesn't come back. He leaves with his promise, but doesn't turn into butterflies, only wind. The red string on Xie Lian's finger goes slack. Xie Lian still believes, of course, and waits for Hua Cheng to return. He waits and waits, and as the years go by, Hua Cheng doesn't return. Xie Lian can only cry himself to sleep every night after 800 years pass by.

Jun Wu stopped and scanned the last name on the list. Xie Lian thought he saw a slight frown but it must have been his imagination. The emperor sighed and closed the scroll to pronounce the name of the last defied god. "Xie Lian."
