Shane and Ilya decide to attend the NHL Awards after their first season playing together for the Ottawa Centaurs. As Ilya sneaks out for a cigarette, he comes across an old friend and catches up with him.
“You guys should have hyphenated,” Marlow commented. “Used both last names. Like Rozanov-Hollander. Or Hollander-Rozanov, if you want to go alphabetically.”
“Would have been hard to fit on a jersey,” Ilya said. “And is a mouthful.”
To his surprise, Marlow grinned. “Good point,” he said. “So how has the first year of married life been treating you?”
