Summary
Kakashi is constantly fighting tooth and nail to be the one to look after Naruto when Minato had died, after the great tailed beast attack. Kakashi, at the ripe age of 14, was going to take in a child. But the Hokage forbade it, telling him '14 is too young. Wait until you're older.' So fine. Kakashi would wait. He'd protect that last of Minato's legacy even if it killed him. Maybe he'd pick up a few more kids on the way.

"Friends don't do this. This doesn't feel like a friendship, Naruto. Friends don't chase friends for 5 years straight instead of living on. Friends don't fight the way we do. Friends don't try to kill each other as many times as we have. They don't." Sasuke spoke.
And he was right. Naruto thought for a moment. They both looked out to the sunset on the hill. The only things worth seeing in Konoha were the lush forests and the setting summer sun. A breeze blew past the two boys, rustling hair and billowing loose clothes.
