He was busy greeting everyone, more than one person wishing him a happy birthday, meaning that the party was for him. She noticed how open he looked, his easy manners making others flutter around him as if moths to the light. His hair, a soft brown color, was adorned with curls, a stray one falling on his eyes, which he tried to fix unsuccessfully.
As he neared their spot, his gaze fell on her, a pleased smirk appearing instantly on his face. It made her usually pale, seemingly dead-looking countenance blush a soft pink. Fuck.
