    That’s why archery training became his second home: relentless, consuming, the only thing that could define who he was—his one true talent.

    And yet, the mask he wore couldn't withstand the pressure. Those very training sessions began to crack something inside him, something he couldn’t control. Not until he and Henry are ambushed by a group of Cumans and become separated from the rest of their group.

    This story is a long journey into Hans’s psyche, a shifting blend of flashbacks and present events that delve deep into his character.

    Through it, Hans and Henry will lay bare their inner turmoil—and ultimately come to a conclusion.

    It's been seven years since the peaceful revolution that changed the lives of all androids across the nation. Five years since Markus left home and traveled the states to help deviants across the nation rally together to create their own safe havens. Four years since war against androids was officially declared by humans and three since Markus decided to step down from leading them, instead choosing to fight on the ground side by side with his people.

    It’s also been five years since he last saw Connor. Five long years since he last felt his warm skin or witnessed his breathtaking smile. Five insufferably long years since he last heard Connor’s deep, comforting voice in person.

     

    “You’ll come back to us. I know you will, and when you do, I’ll be here waiting for you.”

     

    The war wasn’t over, but the wait was, and Markus was finally on his way home.

    Inspired by FFVII in the sense that Markus has a big sword, there’s a bombing mission or two, there is a church full of flowers, and Connor has a deep love for punching things.
