His head hurts like it’s being split open, and Daisuke is falling, falling, falling into the dark ether.
For a blissful moment, there is no pain. There is no Daisuke. There is only nothingness.
Then, suddenly, there are bright lights. Daisuke opens his eyes, blinking rapidly.
He’s in the main lounge of the Tulpar.

After he dies, Daisuke wakes up right before the crash of the Tulpar. He hears something he wasn’t supposed to, and it puts the events of the past into a whole new perspective. He decides to do something about it before it’s too late again.

It was the usual Friday discord call, the usual group (Tommy, Wilbur, and Phil), and the usual silly arguments over what movie they’d watch. Tommy wanted to watch Inside, Wilbur wanted to watch Hamilton and Phil wanted his not-really-sons to stop arguing and pick a movie.
The only difference is that Tommy was starting to feel a bit small.

Tommy turned to the voice to see a man standing next to him, eyeing him curiously.
The man was freakishly tall, almost a foot taller than Tommy. His mask was beautiful, emerald green velvet with minty colored accents and gemstones artfully placed, gorgeous golden thread detailing intricate patterns and designs on the soft fabric.
"What's it matter, dickhead?" He asked instead of all the questions burning on the tip of his tongue.
The man looked slightly taken aback but quickly recovered, clearing his throat to rid the laugh that wanted to escape his chest. Thinly veiled amusement was painted across what was visible of the man's features.
The man looked at him with a small, kind smile, "Call it curiosity"
