There's something there in Yunho's voice that suggests he knows exactly what San means. It's not that it's been a year since their last Halloween party. It's that it's been close to 10 months since they were able to relax and not worry about showing off anything... 'supernatural' around a certain someone. After what had felt like a lifetime of only ever having to hide who they were when they went out willingly among the mortals they lived with, suddenly having to hide themselves at home had taken some getting used to. And not without its own set of risks and mess ups.
"We should tell him," Mingi's voice cuts through the silence, drawing the two's gaze towards the oversized male staring absently at the pile of invitations in front of him.

It’s San’s idea to play the game.
It’s late enough that they should really be considering going to bed. Hongjoong feels his eyes starting to droop. Can feel the exhaustion starting to cling to his limbs, coaxing him slowly into sweet oblivion. At his side, Seonghwa nods in and out of consciousness, drifting on the fine line between awareness and slumber. Hongjoong can almost feel the way Seonghwa slowly settles against him, face nuzzled into the soft warmth of Hongjoong’s sweater.
(It’s really Yunho’s sweater, but who’s going to call him out on it?)
Across from Hongjoong, the true owner of his favorite sweater lounges on their couch.
Yunho is tall enough that he doesn’t quite fit, legs hanging over one side so his head can rest comfortably on the opposite arm. He doesn’t seem to mind though, especially not when Mingi stretches out on top of him, face pressed against the curve of his neck and fingers twisted in his shirt. Hongjoong smiles at the sight, enjoying the way his boys all settle in their own corners.
It’s quiet, blissfully quiet, so when San speaks, it’s a little too loud. A little too jarring.
“We should play a game.”
