Summary
Mrs. Elizabeth Darcy had learned her lesson well not to take gossip at face value, that both sides of a story must be told before action was taken – particularly if the bearer of the tale was the injured party. So when she heard young Margaret Dashwood’s account of her brother’s dismissal of their late father’s wishes, she made discreet inquiries before taking action. (John and Fanny Dashwood are tried in the court of public opinion and come out the worse for the wear.)

Summary
In the land of Ingary, where such things as handsome wizards and beautiful witches really exist, Howell Jenkins felt more at home than he had ever been in his native country of Wales. He had always been able to do magic of course, but in Wales, it was not half as fun as it was here in Ingary. So, when Howell’s parents died when he was just fifteen and Megan was twenty-four and already married with a kid, Howell did what any child in his situation would do – he ran away to become a wizard.
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, retold from Howl's POV. Follows the same events from canon, but with additional scenes detailing Howl's shenanigans that Sophie wasn't privy to.
