You never knew the true reality of what 'superheroes' had to face. In your fantasies, it was a "fun" life, like the ones you would see in tv, or cartoons. Of course, it wouldn't be long till you got a taste of true reality for being expected to save the world. And surely, you never would have imagined your first fight to be against your brother-- well, more so an imposter. It didn't take you long to realize, you must kill or be killed.
in this fic, you're the daughter of debbie and nolan, and marks younger sister (14 y/o reader, although you can technically just ignore that and put whatever age you want. it doesnt really affect the story.) so, that means you have powers. or at least, youll get them... eventually.

This is all wrong, he wants to yell.
“What? Because I finally found probably the only people that actually love me, people that See me, care for my well-being and who I am; I must be brainwashed. Is that it?” Spider shot back.
The Sully patriarch and former Olo’eyktan could only look at him in shock. He was no longer the child he knew back then. The skin that was once tan with blue stripes is now dulled to an ashy gray tone with pitch black markings. Those familiar brown eyes which used to shine at Jake in adoration now stare with a cold, unfeeling gaze. Jake only wants to help Spider, the kid’s gotta know that. He has to know that he’s just trying to fix him.
“But of course, you never cared before so why would you care now, am I right?”
OR
Where a lone human boy is raised by the wrong people; the Ash Na’vi. However, Spider ended up learning what love and family meant for the first time in his life. In the end, this turns into quite a unique take on Avatar: The Way of Water. The Sullys had a chance but failed, and now they may come to regret it.

The dark blue skin this Na’vi has is certainly not one of the reef people. He quickly glances down at the hand supporting their weight—one, two, three fingers on the sand—and heaves a sigh of relief…
…only to jerk back when the Na’vi’s head lifts and inclines in his direction.
Messy medium-sized knotless braids cascade down to their shoulder blades, partially shielding their face while a humanlike set of bunny teeth, with four distinct but blunt canines, grins up shakily at him.
Lo’ak’s breath gets stuck in his throat.
It’s been weeks since Neteyam rejoined Eywa’s care. The Sully’s are… coping. In their own ways.
Dad has closed off his emotions, chasing things to do to keep himself busy; Mum is mourning, processing things the way Eywa intended; Kiri is choosing to celebrate and ignore the sadness, knowing she cannot connect with Neteyam again while they’re with the Metkayina; Tuk has decided she’ll follow Kiri in solidarity, trailing after her and socialising with the clan.
And himself? Well, he’s decided to take flight.
…That is, until something (or rather, someone) puts a halt to his plans one day.
