Summary
The last time Lottie had seen Natalie, they were making a blood oath to never talk about The Wilderness and everything they’d done in It again. Three years had passed since then, and she hadn’t let herself dwell much on Natalie or any of the other Yellowjackets or Travis beyond wishing them peace. She certainly hadn’t expected to see Natalie again in some college bar.
But here they were.
Natalie looked good, for what it was worth. Her hair was longer now. Her eyes wilder. The rest of her face was the same as it had ever been, only older. More thinned out. Lottie couldn’t help but want—
“Charlotte? Are you good?” Janet asked.
Against her will, Lottie’s mouth took the shape of something soft and fond. “I’m fine… I just went to high school with the bartender. That’s all,” she said.
