Summary
“You’re bringing Hank, right?”
She gritted her teeth, a blush tinging her cheeks as she avoided eye contact, “Yes… not in that way though.”
“I need to borrow him.”
“What-” She looked confused at first, but then something clicked; mirth creasing at her eyes and twisting her lips as she cocked her head at you, “Y/N! You want to make Erik jealous.”

Summary
You scoffed then, drawing the eyes of everyone sat throughout the common room; including Erik, the deceitful side of your brain chimed gleefully. He raised an eyebrow at you, cocking his head; physically daring you to speak. You did so anyway, “What the hell is your problem with me, Erik?”
“-Y/N, please-”
“My problem?” Erik spoke over Charles; his eyes hawk-like as they watched you, his cheeks turning with mirth as he grinned at you, his sharp teeth glinting in the evening light. If you hadn’t been overtaken with anger, with embarrassment; you would’ve thought that he looked devastatingly attractive, in some twisted way. “My problem is that lesser mutants, like you, shouldn’t be put on patrols that ensure the safety of the other, more important mutants in this house.”

Summary
Professor Erik Lehnsherr was an enigma, it was undeniable to anyone who crossed his path. He emanated a magnificent presence; intelligence, authority, power. But, he was also kind, when he wanted to be. Reverent smiles when a student offered an insightful point during one of his seminars, a chuckle when a hint of true personality slipped out during their answer, a smirk when the debate prose grew heated.
A true beacon of trust, solemn kindness to all of his students; but, sometimes, in the darkest depths of the night, tucked safely into the comforts of your duvet- you felt that part of him reserved an extra sense of kindness for you.

Summary
“I can feel it.” He spoke, refusing to meet your eyes as he visibly failed to prevent his thoughts from spilling, “I could sense the metal as soon as we left the building; I could sense your necklace, the rims of your sunglasses, the iron in your blood, and that ring.”
His words turned to venom at the procurement of the final item, you watched as he grit his teeth; smoothing a hand over his head as his jaw clenched. Anger bloomed at the pits of your stomach in response, anger at his audacity to attempt to stake such ownership over you, “You were gone, Erik.” You spat, turning to him, anger blazing in your eyes; as reflected by the shock upon his face, “What? Did you expect me to wait around like a child? Wait for you to come back on the slim chance that it would happen?”

It seemed that whilst you knew Bucky had been searching for the person you had once been, it hadn’t quite dawned upon you that he would also be searching for the person you had become.

Summary
For the first time, being wanted back doesn’t feel like a fantasy he's invented to torture himself. Someone will want him; that much is practically a given. The realization has crept up on him slowly over the past few months, in subtle glances from strangers and knowing smiles from other omegas in the hall.
He is, apparently, desirable.
But, if that’s true, and it’s not ridiculous to imagine someone actually wanting him, then why has he been acting like his only option is to sit around and hope Mike trips over the realization himself?
Mike is many wonderful things, after all, but observant is not one of them.
After he presents, Will decides he’s done waiting for Mike to figure things out on his own. It’s time to take matters into his own hands, for once.

Summary
He sighed as he stepped back into the faint moonlight. His watch blinked 1:32 am, much too late for a pretty little thing like Will to still be up and out of bed.
He waved at the younger to get his attention before opening the door. His green eyes were still wide and scared, hands tightly together on his lap. Mike crouched down to be at eye level with him, even though his knees cracked as he did so.
"House is all clear. Nothing was disturbed, everything is safe. You are free to go back to bed." He spoke, his tone soft.
Will nodded, but his face seeped with color and his eyebrows knitted together, "I-I'm sorry, I wasted your time. I just got scared—this is embarrassing."
Mike shook his head with a click of his tongue.
"Absolutely not. You did not waste my time. This is my job."

Summary
Mike is no stranger to a little moral ambiguity, and mind reading is far more harmless than burying a body without telling anyone. So he dives in. Will smiles at him, and Mike prompts his brain to figure out why.
He finds nothing.
This is… odd.
OR
Mike gets telepathic powers randomly, three years after Vecna’s defeat. He tunes into people’s thoughts, expecting every guy’s mind to be like his. When he finds surprisingly few gay thoughts about best friends, he’s forced to re-evaluate and see if maybe it’s just him? (it is.)
It doesn’t help that the one mind he wants to read the most seems to be set to a different frequency entirely.

Summary
“I can see just fine,” Will snaps. He doesn’t even want to have this conversation with Mike in the first place. If he did, it would’ve been a long time ago. “Why do you even care?”
“Why do I—” Mike splutters. “Because I care, Will! I care about you.”
Honestly — what was Mike expecting? That the past month didn’t happen? That they aren’t being weird again? The end of a literal apocalypse did more harm to their friendship than good, apparently, and it’s not something either of them can ignore.
Or,
The world is no longer ending. Half of them have moved into the WSQK. Max is learning how to walk again, Mike is hanging out with Robin Buckley, of all people, and Will—
—still hasn’t told anyone that he can’t see out of his eye.
