Being an auror is not an easy job, James knows this. The thing is, he doesn't realise how of dangerous it is until his best friend is in the hospital while the doctors are trying to save his life.
James has now a lot of time to think while he waits for Teddy to come out of the operation room. Time to think about how much he would miss his best mate if he wasn't there with him anymore, time to think the relationship dynamics that they have and maybe time to think what it could be like.Or: James is in love with his best friend but doesn't realise until Teddy is about to die.
