    Izuku doesn’t even realize he’s dropped his action figure until his mother is using her quirk to pick poor AllMight up. “Oh dear. You really think he won’t get a quirk.”

    “It’s not likely. As you can see here, Izuku has a double toe joint in his pinkie toe. This is generally found in quirkless individuals. So the likelihood of your son receiving a quirk is slim.” But not zero? False negatives do exist. Izuku can work with that.

    Or: In a world where Izuku has to lose everything before he can have it all, how will he rebuild his life and what will it take for him to become a hero?
