Summary
Eight years after graduating from NRC, and 10 years after Jamil's overblot, Kalim Al-Asim has taken over as the head of his family at the young age of 25.
The first thing he does with his new position is give Jamil his freedom.
The second thing he does is let Jamil go.
Jamil, no longer bound to the servitude that had defined his life until now, can now travel Twisted Wonderland to his heart's content, his former master strangely silent as he moves about the land.
On his travels, he runs into many old classmates, all of whom seem eager to give him new experiences (whether he wants to or not).
Away from the Scalding Sands, Jamil contemplates why Kalim's lack of communication bothers him, and he is forced to confront his own feelings toward the white-haired man.
