The sound of chat and laugh, cups hitting tables and betting games fill the atmosphere. The sun shine brite and the ar is not that hard to breathe.

Ekko and Powder are relaxing in a table close to the drinks counter. “What do you mean by ‘I don’t remember anything’?” The girl leans on the table with her forearms.
He scratch his head. “I don’t know. Is not even like things are blurry. I feel like it never existed.”
“I wish you would be here to help me with all… this!”
Flashes of brite color blink in front of Powder and the ground shakes. She can hear Vander scream her name.
“Have any of you ever imagine what it would be like if Vi was alive?”

Summary
Answering the question of "wtf did Mike do" (thanks tumblr) in the 18-months between S4 and S5 to make Will go from crying in the van, to thinking he has a shot.
The answer includes: touching, sleeping in the same bed, playing D&D but only the two of them, a haircut, and Mike casually calling Will beautiful. Best friend shit. Will Byers is toast.

“I look for the vampire.”Mike’s face is turned towards him. Will was looking at the ceiling, but he shifts, just enough, his nose points at Mike’s nose. His lips in a line from Mike’s lips. His mouth is slightly open on the pillow. “Do I find him?” Will prompts.
“Yeah,” Mike breathes. “He’s beautiful.”

Then, in the most obvious way possible, his eyes rake over Will’s figure, lingering on the way his shirt hugs his stomach, and over the muscles in Will’s arms.
And then, to Mike’s absolute mortification, his younger-self flushes, cheeks growing impossibly red and eyes darting to the floor. Not in an obvious manner either, because Will immediately levels Mike with a questioning stare and a teasing smile which makes him want to crawl into a hole and die.

When Will’s powers set off a chain of events that result in Mike developing amnesia, Mike must learn how to navigate this new world where he remembers nothing but his love for Will.

The room erupted into laughter. Will’s face turned red in an instant, his eyes darting for the exit before he rose and dashed out of the room. “Wait, Will!” Mike called after him, “Will!”

Mike asks, fully aware that he should probably just quit while he's ahead but needing to know, suddenly, if Will has any sort of romantic entanglements that he's neglected to tell Mike about. He's not sure why, but there's something in his gut that demands to know, has some sort of sudden need to know if Will has kissed anyone that's not him.
