Summary
Even after a year, all of them were still getting used to living in Stark Towers, er- Avengers Towers? Bob wasn’t sure. It was just a normal morning, turns out Walker is actually a pretty good cook and Bob was really looking forward to some fluffy chocolate chip pancakes. Neither of them knew about the bad dream Bucky had woken up from. Neither of them realized it wasn’t just tiredness that was making him act…different. Neither of them noticed the empty look in his eyes. Not until it was too late.
Or, Bucky has a bad dream that triggers some old Hydra programming that no one knew about. When he wakes up, he’s in full Winter Soldier mode.
John and Bob are the ones to deal with the fallout.

Summary
No matter how hard Bucky tried, he always seemed to do or say the wrong things, causing Sam to have to swoop in and do damage control. As if he didn’t have enough problems, now he had to babysit the tactless centenarian. Every instance felt like another sign that Hydra had succeeded in cutting out his humanity, leaving him as nothing more than a hollowed-out shell. No thoughts. No emotions. Just an unloaded gun on the shelves waiting for someone to pick it up and use it. Why would he ever think that he could be something more than what they made him?
Or, Bucky is riddled with self-doubt and decides the only solution is to isolate himself from Sam. Sam, however, is not having any of it.

Summary
He was supposed to be done with all of this. That’s what being a congressman was supposed to be, not just being a weapon but still fighting the good fight, the right way. Of course, he was the shortest-lived congressman ever because one could not be a New Avenger and a congressman, and when the chips came down, Bucky knew what he was, what he had always been, a weapon. If he had considered forgetting for even a moment his void prison, or whatever that had been reminded him. Reminded him that deep down, he was a weapon either for Hydra or to help people, but a weapon nonetheless.
Or
After the events of the movie, Bucky is not having a good time.
