She’d told him, and she couldn’t believe that she had.
She’d told her sons, so it wasn’t the first time she’d spoken it out loud. She’d told her sons, but that had been different. They’d never seen her the way Alex had, the same parts of her body that Caleb had seen – touched, even.
And yet here Alex was, looking at her with a face so tender, so utterly free of judgment, or worse, disdain, that it defied reason. How could he still hold her body, her hands, her head, and not outwardly think about whose hands had done the same before? And when he finally leaned back – no, wrong, he didn’t, he waited – she did, as always – the only thing the expression in his eyes made her afraid of was that it wouldn’t be Chick who tracked her brother down and ended him.

I felt like this storyline could have fit in to the show because of how unconventional their relationship has always been. I love the idea that this was the first night they ever spent together and it was the night before their wedding.
