Summary
I signed up for two fests in 2025 - the Jily Microfic Exchange and Green House Seven Be My Valentine Exchange. I happened to get EastWindmlk for both of them!
For the Jily micro fic one, EastWindmlk put a song called "Strawberry Mentos" by Leanna Firestone as a suggested song to get inspiration from. When that song combined with my plot bunny of "slow burn, but they have been shagging the whole time," - I get hit with inspiration.
Originally, Strawberry Mentos & Black Liquorice was going to be the Jily micro fic exchange, but it didn't fit with all the requests, so I made "In Love, with Extra Credit."
As for the GH7 fic exchange - there were five prompts, and I thought I should write five fics. Which was not how it was supposed to be (one fic with put as many prompts in as you want/can) - so whoops. But I figured no one would get mad at five fics instead of one. I was able to submit two of the fics in time for the GH7 deadline, and the last three will be making their way out to the public soon.
As for the prequel? Well, that came from me wanting to make this call canon-compliant, and I justified it by the conversation that Remus and Sirius had after they talked to Harry.
