Summary
"Who are you?" Nagito whispered.
Something flashed across the boy's face. Excitement? Relief? He reached his hand out towards Nagito, mirroring the way Nagito had done prior. Instead of answering his question, the boy threw Nagito's words back at him, slowly and carefully.
"Are you awake?"
Nagito's eyebrows knit together in confusion as he looked at the outstretched hand. "What-"
"-ITO!"
Nagito was violently thrown out of his daydream by a pair of arms that were wrapped tightly around his waist. He was a step away from coming off the curb into oncoming traffic. The horn of a van blared as it sped by, a van that almost hit Nagito.
"What were you even looking at?" Fuyuhiko rubbed his face with his hands, exhaustion already setting in though he had only been awake for an hour at most.
Nagito's eyebrows scrunched together. "You didn't see him?"
OR
Nagito may be succumbing to insanity. Or maybe his life never existed to begin with. Either way, it's the stupid Reserve Course's fault–it always is.
