Summary
Returning to their parents' home for the first time in a decade, Techno is forced to face too many of the bad memories and broken relationships that he has been trying to ignore all this time. Things like all the reasons they left their parents' house to begin with. And how his twin brother, who he hasn't seen in years, still seems to hate him. The thought of it all is enough to leave him close to meltingdown, let alone actually getting on the plane to go there.
Luckily for him, the plane never gets home.
Unluckily, everything that follows.

After this it goes too fast to process. All Ranboo registers is Quackity taking a step back, Ranboo themselves barely pulling their sword out of its sheath, Quackity pulling out a few glass bottles and smashing them at Ranboo's feet.

Or, after Technoblade escapes, Quackity sees Ranboo and uses them as leverage.

Summary
Tubbo and Phil had been standing in the bus shelter for twenty four minutes watching traffic go by. Tubbo looked at Phil, expression calmly desperate. “They’ve cancelled the bus.”
Phil was staring down the road in the direction of traffic, thumbs hooked into the straps of his backpack. “They haven’t cancelled the fuckin’ bus,” he said, again.
Tubbo hiked his backpack higher on his back. “They’ve cancelled the bus, and we’re gonna miss the train,” he proclaimed. “City Transpo hates me.”
“City Transpo hates everybody, mate, you’re not special. I’ll text the bus right now.” Phil fumbled his phone out of his pocket and frowned at the screen. “Still says it’s two minutes away.” He looked up and down the road, eyebrows raising as a vehicle came around the corner. “Oh hey, there it is, finally.”

Philza struggled to keep standing straight, dizzy from blood loss, a white-knuckle grip on his sword.
“I have heard much of you, emperor Philza, and I have respect for you. Therefore, I’ll offer you a deal. You will surrender. You will kneel before me, right here, right now, and beg for mercy. Then I’ll take you to the Nether with me, and you’ll become my prisoner, slave, and personal servant. Or-”
The Blood God raised his netherite blade, pointing the tip straight at Philza’s heart.
“-I will allow you to die with a sword in your hand, and once you’re dead, I will slaughter your children.”
Philza fell to his knees without hesitation.

Philza had been prepared for a lot of things when he was taken as a war prize: the loss of his basic freedom, the heartbreak of being separated from his sons, the indignity of being reduced into the piglin king’s “pet”.
What he hadn’t been expecting was for the man behind the blood-stained mask to be soft-spoken, or good-natured, or tired from the weight of his crown.
Or lonely.
