Kal-El was not send to Earth as newborn infant, but many years later the planet of Krypton still died.
The entire Omega population of Krypton died along with the planet, leaving the Alphas to search across the galaxy for a new planet to call home. They come across Earth and decide to conquer the planet and turn it into New Krypton.
Now if only their leader Kal-El could figure out why he'd been having dreams of a black haired Omega with blue eyes!

Ever since Harry’s found himself stuck in the 1940s, he’s been trying his best not to draw attention to himself at Hogwarts and to keep out of Tom Riddle’s orbit as much as possible.
