“Eddie, I think you’re exaggerating. Almost got hurt, sure, but I think died is a little dramatic.” Buck can’t help but chuckle and it must be contagious because Eddie’s chuckling now, too, because he's right.

Summary
A nervous heat rises to Buck’s cheeks, his heart rate spiking, because while it’s a shock to find out, seeing it also makes him feel… fluttery and fuzzy, a sensation coming up a lot when it comes to Eddie. So far, he’d always pushed it aside, dismissed it as something he knew it wasn’t. But it was undeniably there, after lingering touches or stolen glances, after watching him laugh and throw his head back like it wasn’t the most bewitching thing in the world.
“Holy shit,” he breathes, exasperated, falling against the backrest of the couch. The world around him rushes back into his perception, like he’s coming back up from underwater, exasperated and confused. He stares at the ceiling, phone in his limp hand, trying to process what he’s just witnessed himself do.
Eddie had kissed him back. Enthusiastic, almost, eager and excited.

Summary
Jee’s nose scrunches up in consideration. “Hmmm.” She counts out the gumdrops on her plate. “Okay, but take the red ones. I don’t really like those.” Maddie scoffs in amusement and Eddie smiles, receiving four red gumdrops in his hand.
“Wow, thank you! The cherry ones are my favorite.” He makes a big show of shoving them all in his mouth at once and can’t stop his face from twisting up at the flavor, exposing the lie immediately. They taste like cough syrup. Maddie and Jee burst into giggles, and despite the attack on his taste buds, Eddie breaks into a goofy smile too. “Mmm. Just what I wanted.”
Buck smiles to himself, tears springing up as he watches them from the living room. Eddie and his girls.

Buck stood up, reaching for Evie. “Want me to put her back in the crib?”
Eddie hesitated for a moment before nodding, carefully transferring their sleeping daughter into Buck’s arms.
Buck handled her with the same gentleness he used for everything he cared about, his movements were slow as he placed her back in the crib. “She’s so beautiful,” he murmured, gazing down at her with a look of adoration.
Eddie came up behind him and wrapped an arm around Buck’s waist, resting his chin on his shoulder. “She gets that from you.”
Buck turned his head, pressing a soft kiss to Eddie’s temple. “She gets that from the both of us.”

Eddie shifts his weight a few times. “What does that mean?”
This could go a lot of ways. If this is Buckley, and Eddie’s pretty sure it is, it could lead to him hanging this over his head, trying to get sex out of it, and honestly – Eddie’s slept with people for less. And Eddie could do, has done, a lot worse.
He would hate being strong-armed into sex, but he’s been strong-armed into it before, and this guy, well, it’s not like he hasn’t thought about it.
“Um,” is all the answer Eddie gets.
And then there’s this meandering, endless pause, where the guy stands there and just… stares at him. Eddie can’t decide if it’s awkward or if they are slipping back into creepy. “What’s with the staring?”
“Sorry!” Sleeves immediately jerks his eyes away, then scratches the back of his head before he looks back at Eddie and snaps away again. “It’s just – uh, it’s weird, seeing you, um, without the…”
Eddie raises an eyebrow. “Handcuffs?”
