Summary
For Mark Lee, the recent promotion to general manager didn’t just come with the prestige, the corner office, or the larger paycheck everyone assumed he wanted, but also with late-night board meetings and invitations to extravagant business parties. But all of that became background noise the moment he met the CEO’s husband, Donghyuck who was beautiful in a way that felt almost indecent. Mark noticed instantly how his husband barely touched him, spoke to him and it made something hot twist low in his stomach. Donghyuck wasn’t just attractive. He was the kind of stunning that made Mark’s pulse stumble, and the kind of man he wanted to ruin his morals for.
As Mark watched him move through the party, smiling politely for a man who didn’t deserve him, one thought hit him with humiliating clarity. Donghyuck was way too fucking hot to spend his life with someone who treated him like an accessory.
And Mark, newly promoted and newly aware of just how reckless desire could feel, realized he might already be in trouble, because wanting Donghyuck felt less like a mistake and more like an inevitability.

Summary
When Mark meets Donghyuck, it never crosses his mind that one day, in the not-so-distant, actually-very-near future, he’d end up being the reason he finally understands what it's like to be inexplicably, impossibly, nonsensically, in love for the first time.
When Donghyuck meets Mark, it never crosses his mind that one day, in the not-so-distant, actually-very-near future, he’d end up being the reason he breaks one of his life's greatest beliefs. Falling in love so completely, so recklessly, he'd go out of his way to be… ugh…romantic.
Unfortunately, while also creating a lot of unnecessary tension in the workplace. After all, just like that first Post-It note read: “Straight lines are a lie”.

Summary
Donghyuck doesn't just love Mark in one way. He loves Mark in the way he loves all of their members — the kind of love that is forged through trials and tribulations and forced proximity. He loves Mark in the way he loves his family, how nothing ever really changes between them no matter how much time and distance is placed between them. He loves Mark in the way he loves kimchi jjigae, like soup that runs through his veins and keeps him warm no matter how, when, or where it’s served.
Donghyuck loves Mark like he loves Mark.
Or alternatively:
Somewhere between kissing Mark in the old SM practice room with the bright blue sky background and fighting with Mark about getting more sleep, Donghyuck falls in love.
Too bad Mark can't even hold his hand without pretending to gag.

Summary
To the left of the altar, where the monotone priest droned on and on, a group of a dozen kids stood off to the side. They were all dressed in white robes, which normally would’ve creeped Mark out – actually, it did creep Mark out – until he honed in on a boy almost hidden in the top row.
The boy’s eyes were wide and unguarded – too innocent, too open, like something not meant for this world. His lips were parted just slightly, full and pink, soft enough to bruise. Mark stared, half in awe, half in hunger.
Or: While escorting his grandmother to church, atheist Mark Lee discovers a real-life angel singing in the choir. Maybe there is a God, after all.
