Summary
Growing up was supposed to mean growing apart.
Instead, years after volleyball first brought them together, they’re still tangled in each other’s lives.
It starts with Daichi and Sugawara’s wedding.
Then Tsukishima moves into a new apartment—directly across the hall from Akaashi. What begins with borrowed groceries, late-night conversations, and talking about their hopeless crushes on Yamaguchi and Bokuto slowly becomes something neither expected, forcing them to reconsider what love can look like.
Around them, life keeps moving. Kiyoko and Tanaka build a family. Kuroo and Kenma open their home to a seven-year-old. Nishinoya and Asahi prepare for marriage. Ennoshita and Yachi plan a wedding of their own.
There are new homes, new families, arguments, babies, pets, crowded apartments, and old friends who never learned how to knock.
Growing up doesn’t have to mean growing apart.
Sometimes, it’s simply learning all the different ways we stay.

He was awfully cute, nervous and noble, and so solid, but Suga won’t dwell on him. Sugawara Koushi and Sawamura Daichi are about to find themselves on opposite sides of a very thin apartment wall, but that’s the only life experience either of them has shared up until now. Suga’s new single father status means trading in his pop idol lifestyle to take care of an infant he already loves, even though he’s never known what it means to belong to a family before. Daichi is enjoying ordinary college life (he still has trouble with laundry), still talks to his parents on the weekends, and has never known how good it feels to have his life shaken up.
But in spite of their differences, or because of them, they connect with each other more than they ever could have guessed. It turns out the thinner the walls, the easier it becomes to know each other’s hearts.
