Summary
"A name can be honored, a name can be feared but never both."
Severus Snape never expected to wake up again, and certainly not in Prince Manor.
Death should have been easy. After the Marauders’ full moon prank, after the betrayal of the only friend who ever mattered, after years of knowing he would never truly belong, Severus saw only one way out. But fate, or perhaps blood, drags him back.
He awakens in Prince Manor, surrounded by a family that has never acknowledged him, faced with a name that has never been his to claim. They offer him something he has never had before: recognition, power, and a place among the elite.
As he is taught the art of pureblood politics, Severus realizes survival is not about strength alone, it is about control. Control of his words, his emotions, his loyalties. Control of who he must become to never be weak again. But the more he learns to play the game, the more he wonders if he is losing himself in it.
The Dark Lord’s war is coming, and Severus is running out of time. To be forgotten is to be powerless. To be remembered is to be hated, feared… or worse, owned.
If his name must be spoken, let it be hallowed. But at what price?

Summary
Besides my mother, Snape had no one. No one who he could call a friend. There was no one he could rely on after my mother left him. Everyone was just using him. Voldemort, the death eaters, and even Dumbledore. No wonder the man was so jaded. How would he have turned out if he had someone to stick by him through anything and everything? A friend who would never abandon him?
