Summary
Again, Kazutora’s initial reaction is surprise, but soon after, he leans in a little closer, allowing the gentle touch of their lips.
It still feels a little unreal, like a fleeting daydream and he never really knows what’s going through Kazutora’s mind, but he can tell that his caution isn’t a sign of disapproval. It’s uncertainty. Like trying to speak a new language you aren’t familiar with.
It’s a saddening thought and if he gave it too much room, his heart would bleed and shatter, so he rather focuses on the here and now. Focuses on the way Kazutora’s face lightens up, on the small smile that pulls at his lips and that he never would have shown him in the past so openly.

Maybe a very cheap bodice ripper. You know, one of those with a big, burly, long-haired incubus painted on the cover in oil pastels; glistening abs on display, glossy windswept mane. You could play the incubus, for him, Blitzø ponders. You could play any messed up little game his mind can conceive—goddamn shapeshifter you are, slyest motherfucker in the land. You’re positively skeevy, aren’t you? You’re a fucking master at this.
The book is still somewhere under the bed.
