Nakahara Chuuya is the gifted profiler instrumental in catching the most prolific serial killer in recent history—the Ripper, Fyodor Dostoevsky.
Three years later, a serial killer with the same MO as the Ripper makes headlines, news claiming that the real Ripper is still out there. Chuuya has retired from active duty to distance himself from the nightmares of the Ripper’s crimes, but is now being pulled back to the field as the incarcerated Fyodor demands that he’ll only cooperate if Chuuya speaks with him.
To help Chuuya cope with returning back to the field, he’s assigned help in the form of a well-known psychologist, Dazai Osamu.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, Dazai is apparently more dangerous than any of them thought…
