Colin Bridgerton’s courting lessons grow more outlandish by the day. The fan. The walk. Archery, of all things. And now, God help her, the swing. Swing lessons. Colin cannot decide which is madder—that he proposed such a thing, or that Penelope agreed to play along. There is nothing practical in the exercise, nothing academic, nothing that will bring her closer to the one thing she wants—to be chosen by some other man. If he is honest, that has never once been the point. He has only ever wanted to keep her close a little longer. The trouble is, Colin is rarely honest, least of all with himself.

Enter our favorite hero, one Colin Bridgerton. While we are expecting fun banter and a barb (and a very friendly glance), everything changes.

What if Penelope stumbled into dangerous information that could harm the crown, the country, and herself if she printed it? And what if she had a very good friend willing to support her from the very first moment?
What ripple effects will this have, and not just to our plot-busting duo, but to the wider group of characters?(This idea came fully formed during a rewatch this weekend, and I couldn't stop thinking about it!)
