Peace times were boring, and the universe decided to remind them that there were forms from above that were always going to be bigger and stronger than all of them and could take over any time they wanted to. And of course Naruto had to go and play hero, forcing Sasuke to go back to save the village because stupid prince-charming-Naruto would’ve hated himself if something happened while he was out saving proclaimed-space-princess, beautiful, sweet, and caring Hinata."

“Damn, that sucks,” said Sai, staring at his phone. “You’ll get ‘em next time.”
“I feel like you’re not being sympathetic to my plight,” said Naruto, from the bunk bed below him.
“He’s not paying attention,” said Kiba from across the room, on the bottom bunk of another bunk bed. Lee was above him. “Actually, none of us want to listen to this.”
“Um, I had to listen to him when he was wailing about Ino.”
“I don’t know what to tell you,” said Kiba. “Just ask him? If you really wanna do that? God, ew, I hate this discussion.”
“You guys are so useless.”
“Hey, man,” said Lee. “No one’s gonna suck it for ya.”
