That’s it. I’ve waited long enough. Chuuya slammed a few crumpled bills down on the table and got to his feet, eye twitching in annoyance. If this is how the guy respects other people’s time, then I wouldn’t want him as a roommate, anyway.
Chuuya marched towards the door, head bowed beneath the brim of his hat as he muttered to himself.
“What a waste of my fucking ti- oof!”
Looking back, Chuuya wouldn’t be able to say how it had happened. One second he was on his feet, swinging the door open with reckless abandon, and the next, he was on the floor with the wind knocked out of him.
And there was a dark-haired stranger splayed out on top of him.
