Akari should have turned back at the first flake of snow.
She’d been warned by the guards at the gate when she left. She’d been warned by the professor, and Rei, and even Summer had insisted that she go survey the Fieldlands or the Mirelands instead.
But, of course, she didn’t listen. If there’s anything true about Akari, it’s that she’s headstrong, and maybe her ego had grown a little too much after catching that Alpha Garchomp. And now, as snow blazes around her as she trudges through the Highlands, vision filled with nothing but white, she realizes that maybe she should listen to the adults in her life a little more often.
