Summary
Jinx breaks into a palace vault looking for a device for... reasons... so naturally, she breaks into Demacia’s fanciest palace on gala night so she can sneak into the archives. Her plan goes sideways when she collides with Lux Crownguard, golden child, city darling, and far too good at pretending she’s not in over her head.
When disaster (and magic) nearly blows their cover, Lux pulls the ultimate bluff: Jinx isn’t a criminal, she’s her girlfriend. Now all eyes are on them, from nosy nobles to more dangerous players in the shadows.
What starts as a fake romance for the prying eyes spirals into secret missions, tangled lies, and sparks neither of them are ready for. In a city where magic is forbidden and secrets can kill (and something far more sinister), Jinx has to decide what she's really here for.
