Summary
The harvest of September brings nothing but misery and sought seclusion for The Captain. Awaiting the commencement of his next revered viola tour in May, he resides impatiently in his frugal childhood cottage. Dreadfully, The Captain is expected to devise his own elaborate setlist in which to introduce the topic of love into his performances, a task proving difficult as he refuses to be nothing but a cynical shut in. Unhooking his landline and silencing his messages, he wasn't certain as to how he was going to prepare for this tour, he wasn't convinced he'd be able to compose a tangible performance at all.
His managers The Ghosts, however, are insistent with it. Organising ahead, they foretold The Captain's isolated nature. Contriving ways to communicate with him, they scheduled with the local post and newspaper station to ensure their esteemed musician would be getting all their memos and footnotes.
If The Captain had been a holy, hallowed, and insipid man, he would've stopped opening the door for the deliverer once he discerned the plans of his managers. Unfortunately for him, he isn't actually any of that, and the postal service made the meticulous fault of sending a very attractive mailman to his door.

Summary
Spending an evening out when she should have really been home, Alison accidentally attracts a group of ragtag souls who in their afterlife have been left to wander the world aimlessly. After one of them mentions Button house, the least she could do was offer up her soul-infested house for just the night. Unbeknownst to them all, this half-hearted decision would drastically change the course of their lives for a while to come.
A certain William Havers might have to confront some things he's been purposely avoiding, and his friends Andy, Maddison and Joan will all have their turn.
