You were not supposed to fall in love with the handsome, skilled, and shockingly gentle northern wolf who was now your husband.

“Your spin things are looking good, Ice Princess.” Her toe pick scraped against the ice in an ugly noise as she whipped her head around to the booming voice. She reached up to her face to right her glasses.
“Twizzles.” The correction was instinctive and she winced at the defensive edge in her voice. Her heart hammered loudly in her chest, but thankfully the flush on her cheeks could be blamed on the cold air and exertion.
“Well then.” Langdon ducked his head a little as he grinned shamelessly. That same toothy smug smile he made after a slapshot he knew was good. “Your twizzles are looking good, you don’t wobble at the end.”

"When it’s completely clear and the storm calms her mind doesn’t. She’s still half there like she was in the EF5, and without Tyler behind her it’s like she’s unmoored. The woman and her daughter, wrought with shock and leftover adrenaline thank her, stumbling to where paramedics have begun to arrive. Tyler helps them out of the pool, and then her, and then himself.
He looks like he wants to talk about it. It being her reaction–it wasn’t a normal one for a storm chaser. A stranger, sure. The girl and her mother, of course. It was expected for someone with no real tornado experience to lose it a bit while stuck inside one. It's a freak incident no one should go through, but she has."

The rodeo tornado shakes Kate up good. Tyler is there, whether she likes it or not.
