Summary
Julian Bashir is a genetically enhanced individual. How do we know this? Well, he's a brilliant doctor, and...he's great at darts...and can calculate time with accuracy...and...well, that about sums it up.
Each chapter will offer another piece of evidence on how Julian is augmented. I wanted so much more from the show in this regard, and the potential was just so palpable and they let it slip through their fingers! This is my way of exploring an extraordinary story line that wasn't given nearly enough attention.

Summary
My brief interpretation on how their relationship could have slowly come together in canon.
---
It was a quick moment. A flash of bright eyes, a suggestive smirk. A response that included a raise of his brow and several teasing words. Julian was flirting with him. Of course, Elim hadn’t expected it but he certainly was not surprised; Julian seemed to flirt with half the station. He rarely meant anything by it, it was simply the way he socialized. Just a personality quirk that Elim had grown accustomed to. Still, this new expression made something beat in Elim’s cold chest and he flirted back.

Summary
Julian and Miles are captured by an unknown race from the Gamma Quadrant, forced to endure physical and psychological torture. They are rescued by the Defiant, but it becomes quickly apparent that something about the ordeal is highly unique. Their journey to normalcy is far from finished.
--------------------------------------
O’Brien gasped and clutched the arms of his seat, his face going a shade paler, and Sisko reached across the corner of the table.
“Chief!”
“I-I’m sorry,” he stammered. “It’s just...it’s still so vivid.”
“Benjamin,” Dax pleaded. Sisko waved her off.
“I’m sorry Dax, and I’m sorry Chief, I don’t mean to bring you any more pain, believe me. But - we must understand if we’re facing a new threat. I need this statement…” The captain was visibly torn, but again, O’Brien regained himself.
“I know, Captain, I want to help.” He sucked in a deep breath. “Just - be patient with me, is all.”

Summary
The moment Elim realizes what Julian means to him is almost a moment too late.
--------------------------------------
Something wrapped around Elim’s chest and crowded his throat until he barely felt able to breathe. It was a new sensation, foul and robust. It stood apart from his past anxieties, and was a palette outside of adrenaline, tension, or foreboding.
This sensation was all encompassing, and made of a suffocating material. It burned his nerves with raging heat, yet sent tendrils of ice through the scales of his flesh. It darkened his thoughts. Muted his mind. Clawed at his insides.
Fear.

Summary
Jean, horrified at discovering that Riza Hawkeye is being preyed upon by a senior ranking officer, is lost as to what he's supposed to do.
---
“Can I speak with you for a moment?” came his soft, quiet voice. Gentle, yet commanding. Hawkeye’s eyes flicked up from the papers scattered about her desk, glancing swiftly between him and her work.
“Yes, sir, but the supply mandates--”
“They can wait.” Mustang turned his back to her and crossed the room, Jean watching him with careful eyes as he left. Riza rose with an air of uncertainty before following her commanding officer. The door closed behind her.

Summary
A re-working of the DS9 episode "Empok Nor" with one major twist - it is now Julian Bashir, rather than Nog, who accompanies O'Brien and Garak to Empok Nor. Garak had barely begun a very tentative pursuit of Bashir on DS9 but his feelings for him run deep, so the thought of Bashir with O'Brien is already enough to send him over the edge - and the psychotropic drug infecting him finishes the job. Warning: Bashir gets hurt in this. By Garak, unfortunately.

Summary
Her breath hitched in her throat when she spotted a flash of white amidst the crimson blood painting his skin red. It was darker near the middle, as it was quickly layering over itself and swirling the color into a complexion darker than Captain Sisko's uniform undershirt.

Summary
“What were you doing in there?” He asked with a deep frown.
“Escaping.” Tain wheezed as he snagged his arm out of Julian’s grip, “What are you poking me for?”
“Your pulse is very fast, and I’m poking you to find out why.” Julian pressed along Tain’s neck with his fingertips, as gently as he could, “Are you in any pain? Have you felt nausea, flashes of cold or discomfort in your chest or abdomen?”
“I’ve spent hours working in a tight space, with poor air conditioning.” Tain swallowed, the wet sounds of saliva very audible, “In other words, I’m old, Doctor.”
