Summary
Arani screamed, and threw the cup of water at the shadow. There was a laugh, soft and deadly, as she dove for the dagger stashed under the pillow.
“Oh, my, that's no way to treat a guest.”
Arani threw the dagger at where his head had been, heard it thunk into the wall, but the man was already on top of her. She gasped, or whimpered, as he clasped both of her wrists in front of her.
“Please, I'm here to offer you a proposal,” the man's face was hidden in shadow beneath a hood, but she could still see the lower corner of his mouth curl into a smile. “I really do not wish to kill you, but if you attack me again I will not hesitate to spill your blood.”

“I want you to be close to me.”
Arani nodded and rocked her hips slowly into his hand so his palm ground into her clit. He ignored her.
“That can only happen if you continue to impress the Black Hand, and the rest of this sanctuary. Do you understand?”
He was purposefully avoiding her g-spot when he moved his fingers. She bit her tongue to hide a desperate whine and nodded her head a second time.
