Summary
I realized it was Remus' birthday so I decided to fill in some of the blank space from my fic 'The Other Side of Sorrow'. About a month after Severus dies in The Prank, damaging Remus' sense of his own humanity and the relationships between the Marauders, Remus turns seventeen. This is mostly a character study on the trauma of this experience for Remus. Angst abounds.

“Hear that? He’s serious,” Sirius echoed in lazy derision, materializing at Remus’s side. “Too bad you’re already part of a group of four, Lupin.”
“Are you proposing the Marauders take up harmonics?” Remus asked, throwing Sirius an amused glance as he buckled his bag and slung it over his shoulder.
“I’m proposing gits like Walters stay out of your hair,” Sirius retorted. “You’re one of us. What do you need them for?”

Sirius hates how much attention Remus is getting. When Remus comes too close to figuring out why Sirius cares so much, the full moon provides an opportunity to balance the scales.
Featuring people-pleaser Remus, cool-but-cruel Sirius, and the prank going down in canon as “just a joke.”

Summary
“The scar is small, at least,” Pomfrey says, pulling the bandage snug around the cleaned wound. There’s a pity in her voice that makes Severus want to throw up again. “It will be easily covered.”
Dumbledore catches him inspecting it, as if mesmerized. “You are lucky to have survived at all,” the Headmaster says.
Severus does not say I don’t feel very lucky because it is stupid and obvious. Instead, he says unsteadily, “I want to press charges, sir.”
Pomfrey stills, tightening the bandage to the point of discomfort.
“Remus Lupin would be executed,” Dumbledore says. “The Ministry takes a dim view of werewolves who infect other wizards.”

Summary
Zuko falls to Azula's lightning, and Katara realizes she doesn’t want him to die. She doesn’t want anyone to die, but she especially doesn’t want him to die. Sometimes she thinks he’s the only one who understands, when the others are laughing and goofing off. What it’s like to have to try to be fun, to remind yourself that you’re just a kid too.
(And how stupid and typical of him to die this way, sacrificing himself for her.)
There’s not much else to do (she knows, she’s considered anything else she could possibly do). Katara pushes up her sleeves and sets to work saving his life.
