It seemed he wasn’t the only one feeling it since Benji let out a full body shiver. Riley noticed, briefly looking between him and Peter.
“Well, thank you, Peter, but we need to get to service. It was good to meet you.” She grabbed her son’s hand and began leading him away from FEAST. “Happy holidays!” She tossed over her shoulder.
“Merry Christmas!” Peter half-heartedly yelled back. He turned to take one last look at the memorial before wiping his eyes and jogging into the shelter.

Summary
Deep down, Foggy sincerely hoped he wasn’t developing a vigilante thing after one near-death experience. Getting rescued by the so-called Devil of Hell’s Kitchen and finding him annoyingly attractive was already bad enough. The fact that the guy kept showing up to flirt with him — with that voice that was starting to sound uncomfortably familiar — was its own special kind of problem.

The thing about Matt is he’s either going to be Catholic and impossible about utterly everything, or absolutely nothing, which makes it very difficult to predict which way he’s gonna go.
“Everything comes back to guilt with him,” he tells Karen on a night out while Matt is running on rooftops wearing the superhero equivalent of a gimp suit. “He’s probably guilty about how he ties his shoelaces. Or the type of syrup he puts on his pancakes.”
“I mean, maple, right?”
“Matt likes blueberry.”
Karen clicks her tongue. “Shameful.”
“It's not that bad.”
“He should feel guilty for that.”
“Point is,” Foggy says so he doesn't fall into the trap of defending Matt’s syrup choices. “I think I have to learn how to beat people up.”
