Summary
instead of Jack, Sawyer, and Kate getting captured by the others, it’s Jack, Sawyer, and Sayid. Juliet performs some interesting experiments on their unexpected third captive. Sayid doesn’t find out the results of these experiments until it’s far too late, but maybe he doesn’t actually mind the consequences all that much. Maybe he wants a piece of Sawyer for himself.

Summary
Sawyer and Sayid dance around each other for weeks.
He knows body language, he knows that Sawyer wants him, yearns for his body and flesh, and perhaps something more, yet he shies away every time Sayid pushes the line between friendly and friendly.
Sayid respects his hesitance, for a while, but his patience eventually grows thin. He decides that these are extenuating circumstances and resolves to settle the matter that evening, once Sawyer has retired to his tent.
