Summary
Din Djarin was lost. Broken. He no longer had a child to take care of. No ship – no home – to call his own. His child had left with the Jedi because he had been unable to provide what Grogu needed most of all. Because of his own failings and unworthiness where the child’s powers were concerned, their clan of two was now broken. He was now half of nothing.

Summary
"You don't have the comm frequency of the father of your only student?"
Luke gave her a totally lost look, "I was distracted!"
Leia raised both arms in the air, exasperated, "By what?"
"He has brown eyes, Leia!"
And then Luke blushed. Furiously.
Somewhere, far in the Force, Master Yoda was regretting every choice in his life that had led him to train Luke, Ben was sighing deeply, pinching the bridge of his nose, and Anakin had raised both his thumbs up, into a gesture of approval. In wich Luke had a short-circuit on Moff Gideon's ship and now has to go to Nevarro and find a physically and emotionally exhausted dad.

Summary
Din came awake to faint tugging on his helmet.
A weight had settled onto his chest, compact and small. The tugging was more of a nudge than a decisive, two-handed attempt to pull the helmet off. Faint, thin scratching accompanied each bump of movement against the beskar.

Summary
Din’s mother had given him a wavering smile before she hugged him goodbye. His father’s hands had been steady on his shoulders as he kissed his forehead. He hadn’t realized the strength it must have taken them not to crumble until now.
Din watches the kid, his eyes never wavering, a small smile on his lips and a reassuring nod on his head. Din waits until his kid is gone from his eyeline.
Then he crumbles.
