Summary
Amphoreus has long been a world torn apart by wars between sprawling criminal organizations. One of them triumphed by cruelly eliminating its opponents, but also the only government force that opposed them.
In a bleak world where crime is part of everyday life, where the authorities are overwhelmed and the risk of falling victim to illegal trafficking is very real, ordinary people try as best they can to live normal lives. This is the case for Phainon, a new student who doesn't have enough money to live without a roommate and a part-time job. However, studying is just a cover for Phainon, and behind his radiant smile lies a dangerous determination: to infiltrate the criminal organization Castrum Kremnos and eliminate its leader, Mydeimos.

Summary
Phainon and Mydei don’t get along. That’s a simple fact that no one will ever be able to change. But if Phainon had her way, she’d do more than just beat Mydei’s exam scores and tear apart her perfect GPA. She wouldn’t stop until the other woman was groveling on her knees in awe of Phainon’s raw academic prowess.
All she wanted was to completely overwhelm Mydei’s every thought every waking hour of the day. To sabotage her grades, of course.

The crown princess meets the Mer-king head-on. "Such measures are superfluous," she declares, "when I can retrieve the pearls myself."
The Black Tide has hit the outer reef of Castrum Kremnos. Amidst the threat of destruction, it is revealed that Mydei’s sea-witch “friend”, Phainon, can cry pearls - ones with the ability to neutralize the corruption. Mydei will not allow this fact to be taken advantage of by others.
