“What do you have to say after winning tonight? Are the Kings set to a good start of the season?” one of the journalist, Ethan if Eddie recognized his voice correctly, asked.
That fucking 9 million a year contract smile was the first thing Eddie saw. The second was the shine in those baby blues people call his eyes. “Oh, I don’t know…” Evan Buckley said with faux modesty, “I think we’re off to destroy the Stars for the rest of the year, if they play like they did tonight.”
A few chuckles, some flash from the camera and then another question, the same that always comes nowadays, “What about Diaz? Do you think he’ll save that team?”
Buckley rolled his eyes at the question, then looked directly in the camera and said, “I doubt Diaz could save a sinking ship, even if he was made captain,” and then the TV was turned off.
OR : a heated rivalry AU, where the two biggest star of the NHL - who happens to be rivals since their rookie year - eventually get into a sort of... enemies with benefits, then friends, then lovers... or maybe they were always lovers.

Summary
“How do you wanna fuck me?”
Eddie fumbles the deodorant and Buck chuckles at him. As if he could expect any other response to such a question.
“‘Cause I always kinda assumed you would wanna top me,” Buck says completely nonchalantly, coming up behind Eddie and hugging him around the waist, making eye contact with him in the mirror, “but we don’t have to do it that way.” Buck punctuates his statement with a teasing grind of his hips against his boyfriend’s ass, earning him a blushing chuckle from Eddie.
“Buck… I–” Eddie starts, his eyes turning unsure as Buck stares him down with that lustful gaze. “Like, I– I’ve never…”
“Babe, you’ve got a biological kid, I’m pretty sure you’ve had sex before,” Buck rubs up and down his sides lovingly.
“Yeah, duh,” Eddie smiles to himself. “I mean, I’ve never, like… with a boy.”
OR; buck and eddie cant keep their hands off each other and finally carve out some time to have a very non-pg date (5 of buck and eddie's firsts and 1 of their lasts: first time)

Summary
Buck would like to reiterate that he's not that dumb guy who's obsessed with his own physique. Nor is he attention seeking. The thirst traps he posts are not indicative of whether he's an attention whore or not. Because he's not doing it to grab anyone's attention.
Which would be fine except that the one person he's actually doing all this for is not reacting the way he wants him to. Eddie doesn't even care.
OR the one where Buck windingly loses his mind on how to grab Eddie's attention.

Buck is kidnapped by a serial killer. Only when Maddie is taken too, do his friends notice his absence. A race against time begins, and the killer has a headstart. But even if they are found in time, some wounds may take longer to heal than others.

Summary
After a pause, Eddie asked, “You ever think about just… keeping it going?”
Buck blinked. “What, like living together forever?”
A snort filled the air, and Eddie looked half amused and half serious. “I dunno, maybe? Something like that. I mean, look, it’s a new year, right? Anything could happen. But neither of us wanna be alone forever. So, maybe if we’re both still single in a year or whatever, we could just—” he waved a hand vaguely, like he was lassoing the future— ”make it official.”
“Official?” he echoed, head even fuzzier now.
Eddie’s mouth twitched. “Yeah, we could just get married, or something close enough to it."
Buck’s heart tripped over itself.
On New Year's Eve, Buck and Eddie made a drunken pact: if they were both still single in a year, they'd marry each other. They didn't mean to start sabotaging the other's love life to make it happen, but somewhere along the way, that's exactly what they ended up doing.
Now the only question is... how far are they willing to take it?
