"This isn't a date," he bites out, mostly due to confusion without any true ire. He turns to Remus, his face set into deep lines. "I don't have dinner." Remus takes a step backwards, and Sirius only then seems to realize the tone of his voice. "Shit. Sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean – "
"No, I'm sorry," breaks in Remus, shaking his head, taking another step back, moving away from the door. "I should have known. Harry said – "
"Harry," groans Sirius, his head tipping backwards over his shoulders, eyes rolling to the ceiling.
Andromeda turns, hiding a snicker. She catches sight of Harry peeking through the door and passes him a delightful grin.
Or: Harry has a happy life with Sirius, but his dad is lonely. Harry decides to find him a boyfriend.

“You don’t know how many of your shirts I have because I check them whenever you throw stuff away.” Will scoffs, resting his hands on Mike’s chest. He doesn’t know why Mike was looking at him like his prey all because he was wearing his shirt. He can wear his boyfriends shirts. Boyfriends do that, right? Right?
“Really?”
Or: Will Byers doesn’t know why his boyfriend keeps staring at him with Mike’s HellFire Shirt on.

"Do you ever want-" Mike pauses, searching briefly for the words as Will holds his hand, playing with his fingers. "Do you ever think about like, going further?"
Will bites his lip, the immediate answer being of course, Yes.
"Yes."
"Like, further than second or third base, I mean."
Will feels oddly calm, peering up into Mike's eyes. "Yes."
"Oh," Mike says faintly, a soft smile coming into his face, and not for the first time Will desperately wishes for a peek inside the dark haired boy's mind. Then, "Would you ever want to go further.. with me?"
Or, Mike and Will take baby steps to a big step in their relationship ft. experimentation with gender non-conformity, the freedom and trust that comes with love, first times, technically improper use of a pillow fort but that could easily be argued
