Summary
He told Gi-hun that he had prepared these for him because he assumed he wouldn’t want to continue wearing that blood-stained tuxedo. Blood-stained. Gi-hun pushed the empty tray away from himself. He held her in his lap, and she looked up at him. Seven men’s lives were traded for hers that night. As soon as he’d done it, the two of them had been whisked away and set up in this makeshift bedroom. Perhaps better described as a luxury prison cell. Gi-hun had met with him again for the second time that night.
He had killed them. Their lives he sacrificed for hers. He had held up his end of the deal, and Young-il had given his word that they would leave here safely. So, why are they still stuck in here?
“I intend to keep my word,” he had said. But two issues had to be sorted out before they would be permitted to leave.
Gi-hun has the blood of the other finalists on his hands. He was promised that he and the baby would be able to leave safely, but circumstances keep him trapped on the island. During his captivity, a strange new relationship begins to form.
