"Please," Friede cut you off, his hand falling from your shoulder to awkwardly rest at his side. "Please don't worry about it. I'd do a favor for a person like yourself any time."
Pretty? A person like yourself? You bit your lip. You were far from a stranger to flirtation, and every smooth word off his tongue were sending off alarm bells. To be certain, though… You leaned a little closer to Friede, and spoke a little quieter.
"A person like myself, huh?" You hummed, eyes drifting around his face. The skin on his cheeks darkened slightly. His lips parted, and you didn't miss the way his eyes glanced down at your lips. One of your hands went up to his shoulder, mirroring him from a few moments before.
"I insist, Friede," you squeezed his shoulder, "I'd feel better if I could do something for you, anything."
"A— anything?" Friede stuttered, before shaking his head. He looked anywhere but your eyes, blush deepening. "I guess I wouldn't want you feeling bad," he trailed off.
