For the 2022 One Bed Challenge! My prompt was: “Sometime after Millennium, Mulder and Scully are on a case and bad weather sets in. They find a cabin to spend the night but the only one left has just one Queen bed. Since Amor Fati and the New Years Eve kiss, they both know their relationship is changing. They anticipate intimacy but haven't acted on it. Will this be their first time?”

Summary
I get really frustrated when talking about IWTB/The Revival and people say “Scully would never have left Mulder” because everybody has a breaking point. It would have had to have been really bad, yes, so… this is one idea of what was left out. It’s something I’ve always wanted to write and when I read @SisterSpooky1013’s fic “Best of You” it really captured how bad it was, so I wanted to expand on that!

I wanted to come up with an explanation for why season 6 is so hot and cold between Mulder and Scully. Obviously it involves Diana (I’m sorry in advance).
