She hesitates for a moment, but then comes closer and squeezes Arlecchino's hand.
Arlecchino nods, and returns the grip, almost crushing her hand. But Columbina wouldn't mind if it meant she could feel the warmth of her body longer. They stare at each other, but finally Arlecchino breaks the silence, speaking more curtly, "I believe you will find your peace, Columbina. May you shine."
What if, on the night of her departure from Fatui, Columbina had encountered Arlecchino?
