By the time the Parents-Teacher conference rolled around, Anthony was desperately curious to meet this Miss Katie woman, who was beginning to sound like a bloody superhero. Her tone was just as icy as during their negotiations, and Anthony wondered once more what triggered her animosity.

Kate and Anthony first meet during contract negotiations before meeting for a second time at the theatre, where they are given seats next to each other. Over the course of several months, several operas and operettas, a string of work calls and endless pages of legal documents, Anthony falls head over heels for her, despite the fact that she initially seems to dislike him.
But asking out the opposing counsel is not exactly the thing you do, especially when said opposing counsel might accuse you of unethical behaviour…
